"We replaced the worn-out fencing with a brand-new installation to eliminate safety hazards for visitors," he explained.
He added that drainage channels at Nyiur Melambai RPTRA are being optimized to prevent waterlogging during heavy rainfall. Additionally, workers are pruning tree branches that pose potential hazards to visitors as part of broader environmental upkeep.
"RPTRA managers are actively involved in these projects in hopes of fostering greater sense of ownership and responsibility over environmental maintenance, ensuring the site remains clean, tidy, and well-organized," he continued.
He assured that the refurbishments are part of the regional government's broader commitment to maintaining RPTRAs as functional public spaces accessible to all segments of society.
Spanning 2,857.8 square meters, Nyiur Melambai RPTRA is designed to support child development alongside community sports and social activities.
"We want to guarantee these facilities keep locals safe and comfortable during their everyday activities, and we hope the community takes full advantage of them," he hoped.
Kelapa Island Urban Village Head Muhammad Adriansyah welcomed the Nyiur Melambai RPTRA upgrades, calling public infrastructure upkeep vital for community safety and well-being.
"These facilities belong to all of us. We encourage residents to keep the park clean and treat the amenities with care so everyone can continue to enjoy them," he urged.
